Scrum Master is one of the three roles of Scrum, and the other two roles are Product Owner and Development Team. Scrum Master is the coach of the team
As a coach, Scrum Master needs to coach the team, including the development team and the product owner. For a new Scrum team, the team is not familiar with the Scrum process. Like a sports coach, the Scrum Master should help the team understand the core ideas and values of Scrum, explain the rules, and demonstrate the relevant Scrum practice. After a period of operation, the team is familiar with the operation mechanism and rules of Scrum. Scrum’s key activities, the team has been able to carry out through self-organization. At this time, Scrum Master, like a life coach, should help the team continuously improve by listening and asking questions.

As a coach, Scrum Master can help the team in the following ways:

3. The Scrum Master serves the organization

Scrum Master must be responsible for the process
The Scrum Master is the authority in the work process of the Scrum team. Scrum Master is the promoter of change
In the process of Scrum implementation, many problems or difficulties of the team or organization will be exposed. If the organization is to truly obtain the value of Scrum, the organization must make changes to solve these problems and overcome these difficulties.
The Scrum Master must actively promote changes in the organization, such as guiding the team to change working methods, introducing new management practices or engineering practices, introducing new tools, and influencing management to make organizational changes or adjustments.
